Claude’s Kitchen, nestled in the heart of Leicester Square, London, offers an exceptional dining experience within a space designed to evoke a serene, outdoor courtyard atmosphere. Amidst the vibrant energy of one of London’s busiest areas, the design creates a peaceful oasis, providing a perfect balance of style and tranquillity.
The layout features a dynamic dining experience with multiple zones, including a welcoming bar area, three distinct dining sections, and two private dining rooms. The design focuses on a smart-casual aesthetic, with calm navy ceilings unifying the space, complemented by a harmonious blend of natural materials and lush greenery. Skylights throughout the venue fill the space with natural light, creating an airy ambiance and enhancing the beauty of the feature ceiling in each dining area.

Claude's Kitchen - All day dining

Seafood bar

As guests enter Claude’s Kitchen, they are greeted by the bar area, where rustic turquoise tiles and opal globe pendant lights cast a warm glow over the curved counter. The tunnel dining area, illuminated by soft pendant lighting and reeded glass-boxed metal frames, creates an intimate atmosphere. Under a large skylight, the main dining area shines with natural daylight by day, while feature lighting adds a glowing ambiance by night. Central banquette seating, surrounded by abundant greenery, provides both comfort and privacy, further enhanced by brick walls and glass cylinder lights.

The design thoughtfully blends both traditional and modern materials, creating a seamless connection between the old and new. The walls mix original and new bricks, combining textures to maintain a sense of heritage while introducing contemporary design elements. Three skylights have been carefully positioned to maximise natural light, reducing the need for artificial lighting and enhancing the space’s overall energy efficiency. Bespoke metal panels and shelving with reeded glass were custom-designed, marrying fine craftsmanship with modern manufacturing techniques to bring a unique touch to the interior.
