Muzoは英国ロンドンを拠点とする店舗、商業空間デザイン設計を専門とするインテリアデザイン事務所です。レストラン、バー、映画館、ホテル等のプロジェクトを手がけています。

コンセプトデザインから施工までクライアント様と緊密に連携しトータルなプロデュースをいたします。プロジェクトの規模にかかわらず、各プロジェクトのそれぞれ独自のストーリーを空間へと紡いでいきます。

空間体験に焦点を当て、非日常的なインスピレーションと活力を感じられる空間を創造します。

Mika Kanayama was born in Japan and is a resident in the UK. Following a degree in Interior Design in the UK, Mika gained experience at acclaimed and international design studios in London before establishing Muzo.

Her unique background and experience is reflected in her design style and service. Her design approach is a synthesis of influences from both places - focusing on the end experience for those using the space.

“Right around a year ago I had the pleasure of meeting Mika Kanayama the Founder and Director of Muzo.

The brief for a specialty espresso bar was to integrate a collection of loves that included the work of a visionary movie director - Kubrick - an admired artist known as the 'master of light' - Turrell - along with elements of retro-futurism and neo-classical Italian design.

Mika wove all of these pieces together with thought, consideration and attention.

Jeremy Deacon and his A-Team - Wataru, Sam, Saint - along with an armada of A/V and lighting specialists also helped bring Castiglione to life.

A very big thanks to Mika, Jeremy and the extended team for transforming disparate dreams into a cohesive reality."

Our interior design in @citizenfemme

The artist loft in Soho-slash-modern French bistro ambience has been cleverly crafted by interior designer Mika Kanayama with dim mood lighting and sleek wooden bistro tables and caramel-toned leather sofas. It’s a space to sink into, allowing each course of the menu while away a few hours. At the back of the restaurant, a greenhouse-style glass roof floods the tables with natural light for a peaceful oasis that couldn’t feel further from the nearby teems of shoppers. Greenery enshrouds these tables too as well as warm orb lighting that gleams like small-moons when the night arrives.

The best part of Grand Hotel Tremezzo is the gardens at the back. The lush gardens with vibrant foliage, including olives, palm and banana trees, combine with colourful flowers with azaleas, rhododendrons and roses, to create a tropical feel and so heavenly.

We are thrilled to announce that our project Castiglione has been shortlisted for the prestigious @restaurantandbardesignawards 2024 in Café Europe category!

We designed @castiglione.london, an immersive, experiential artisan coffee shop integrating a video-wall to transport customers to exotic, impossible locations. Restaurant @giacomo_milano at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo on Lake Como.

The place is described, the sparkle of sun on deep water mirrors the effervescence of true dolce far niente—a joyous way of being, playing out in a ravishing landscape.

And we sat there for hours to embrace the ever changing views from the daylight to evening!

While we were in Como, spent a day at Grand Hotel Tremezzo. Art nouveau hotel known for Belle Époque where classical furnishings marry with bold colour schemes, art is all in the details. Stunning and dazzling, must come back again and again…

Toilet design!
The customer toilet @castiglione.london is finished throughout in black – in contrast to the main area, flat, low-sheen, textured surfaces are utilised in combination with backlit panels and LED strips to create a sense of calm and quiet.

Design Challenge
Unifying opposing styles required careful design decisions – to counterpoint classical detailing with hard metallic elements and ‘sci-fi’ lighting - which brought its own challenges in meeting technical and aesthetic requirements. A timber structure finished with venetian plaster and metallic-wax was used for the faceted counter alternative to metal construction.

@muzostudio designed a private dining room for @claudeslondon.
This PDR features a skylight, bespoke ceiling light dressed with greenery, vintage wall mirror reflects the reeded glass and exposed bricks, create a sense of being in a indoor garden.
